The P4-TRC Partnership has recently completed a project on behalf of the Chilean Ministry of Economy to design a pathway for the development of a national tourism strategy; one that will guide Chile’s tourism industry in the short, medium, and long term. Such initiatives by the Chilean Government illustrate the growing importance of tourism to the country’s economic development agenda.

Tourism Resource Consultants (www.trcnz.com) have provided consultancy services in New Zealand and overseas in all aspects of tourism, national parks and protected areas for over 20 years. The firm, based in Wellington NZ and led in Chile by director and tourism expert Dave Bamford, has representative offices in Nepal, Vietnam, the Philippines and North America. They have worked extensively throughout Asia, the Pacific, and more recently, Latin America, in a wide range of tourism planning and development projects and tourism in protected areas. In New Zealand, TRC has well established working relationships with key government departments, regional organizations and the private sector and also internationally with many national tourism organizations and international banks.
